First ramblings…..

Let’s look upon what’s happen most recently….

The last release was a Rebel Wizard ep called ‘Great addictions to blindingly dark, wordly life’ – this was a digital release only on Prosthetic Records.

Commentary for press purposes were as such:

“I forgot about this one, mostly as it was done within that foul cosmic buffoonery of 2017 where we found ourselves,” he says. “Well, actually where we are right now; but not. Perhaps a kind of pathway into the second album but upon completing the album, it turned out not to be the case. Regardless of all things that I may or may not say, it all seems fairly self-explanatory upon consideration and when you hear it, it will sound the way it does to you; even when there isn’t a ‘you’ – hence the game of madness and the addictions to blindingly dark, worldly life. Excelsior!”

I assume that explanations such as this are not very desirable within the contemporary framework of publicity due it’s lack of feeding its readers feasts of huzzahs and look at my massive hoorahs and the angers I bellow for vague reasons! However, dear reader, it was in fact quite the case that these things were self explanatory both in sonic form and the titles that point towards the themes within/ without. Pants were still on.

Although the most recent of releases, this was probably one of the most neglected within the press realm. However, this is not a sadness because with such a project it’s the quality not the quantity of press that counts:

Rebel Wizard continues to create music that stands apart from what most metal bands are doing. As I’ve written before, there is something about this music that masterfully captures so much of what attracted so many of us to heavy metal early on and has continued fueling our addiction — the fantasy and the ferocity, the wild energy of a pure adrenaline rush, the guitar virtuosity, the head-moving rhythms, the heroic melodies — and combines all that with the terrifying intensity of black metal shrieking pushed to the limit. This is one game of madness I’m enthusiastically willing to keep on playing. – No Clean Singing. Full article here

You can listen to it all here:

Oh, I had also prepared a video for one of the songs entitled ‘There is a game of madness, and it was decided that you must keep on playing’ (see i told you it was all self explanatory!):

Now, previous to this release we had a Nekrasov full length ‘The Mirror Void’ and not long before that one a Rebel Wizard ep ‘The Warning of one’. I won’t ramble too much about these things as I am already a little tired of this posting nonsense and I assume that if you are here you would already know about such matters – for why would one just appear here at all?
